Join LifeServe Blood Center, WHO 13 News, and UnityPoint Health Des Moines for Blood Donor Day!

To celebrate the lifesaving role our blood donors play in our neighborhoods, we host Blood Donor Day each year. This year’s theme is all about neighbors. Your blood. Your hospital. Your neighbors. It’s all one big lifeline that starts with you, a generous blood donor! Won’t you join us and save your neighbor?

Things are a little different this year. We are accepting donors by appointment only. Click here to book your time! We also have other COVID-19 precautions in place. To help ensure the safety of our team members and other blood donors, we are enforcing the following precautionary measures:

• Appointments are required. Donors who do not have appointments will not be able to give blood.  
• We are asking that blood donors pre-screen themselves for fever prior to appointments. Only donors with temperatures under 99.5 will be allowed to donate.
• Blood donors are required to wear a mask for the duration of their appointment. If you do not have a mask, we will provide you one.

Blood donors will receive a free shirt, oil change from United Fleet, and will be entered in a drawing for giveaways from:

B-bops, Sweet Swirls Rolled Ice Cream, State Historical Museum of Iowa, McAlister’s Deli, Pole Position Raceway, Duplication Media, Toad Valley Golf, Cedar Ridge
