PARTNERSHIP PERKS

Take the Edge Pledge

We need your help in reaching one of our goals for this year to advance the education pipeline in Greater Des Moines (DSM). Education Drives Our Greater Economy (EDGE) is designed to cultivate cradle-through-career education and training to ensure 75 percent of DSM working-age adults have degrees, certificates and other credentials by 2025 that meet workforce demands. This is a regional goal, which builds upon the State’s Future Ready Iowa initiative.
If you believe in this goal, please first take the EDGE pledge for your company to publicly show its support. MORE>

State Historical Building, 600 E Locust

Free event with optional $11.00 lunch

The vision for Central Iowa is coming to fruition thanks to the dedication and leadership of many individuals and organizations. As we approach the halfway point of Capital Crossroads 2.0, it’s time to assess what we have accomplished together and chart a path for the continued success of the 2.0 plan.

Bold initiatives don’t just happen on their own. It involves a sense of shared responsibility, civic commitment and collaboration.

To help Central Iowa continue the momentum, author Rich Harwood will join us at the Capital Crossroads Midpoint Review to share lessons from his new book, Stepping Forward, to share how we can use community as a catalyst to fulfill the Capital Crossroads vision. “Capital Crossroads is about coming together with a shared vision to propel our region forward and build upon the success we’ve enjoyed in the past,” said Kristi Knous Capital Crossroads Tri-Chair and Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines president. “The concepts Rich Harwood has written and walked communities through is transforming the way communities and businesses come together to walk in lock step down a new path. The kind of path that will allow us to Step Forward united, focused and ready to work together to achieve the results we’ve dreamt of and planned for. We are fortunate to have Rich Harwood in our community offering his powerful and timely perspective to guide our next steps.”
