RIBBON CUTTING FOR

MUSIC CLASS FOR TOTS

Congratulations to Amanda Meyer and her Music Class for Tots team on a very well-attended ribbon cutting on June 29! Amanda planned a fun open house to help celebrate which was open to the community. It was great to see so many families enjoying the ice cream sundae bar, balloons, musical instruments, and face painting station!

CELEBRATE NORWALK

4TH OF JULY PARTY IN THE PARK

This year's Party in the Park brought in roughly 2,000 locals and visitors to enjoy live music, food trucks, local vendors, yard games, and bingo. The event took place in Norwalk's City Park from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and was coordinated in partnership with the Norwalk Hometown Pride. Live music was performed by Des Moines band, The Sheet, who played familiar favorites with a reggae twist. The beer tent was ran by chamber member, Top It Off Liquid Catering. Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and to everyone who supported this event. We hope you join us next year!

Read and Hike!

StoryWalk® is a fun idea to get communities outside and reading. Each month, we will put new nature-themed children’s stories along trails in different parks. Stories will all be nature-themed and fun to read! Bring your whole family out to hike and read a page of the story every few feet as you go along. Below is a schedule of where and when the books will be placed.  Please sign our guest book at the end of each StoryWalk® so we know how many people made it out.

Call  (515) 961-6169 if you have questions about finding the start of the StoryWalk® within in a park.
